Local charm and cuisine all it's own. Stopped in for a burger and got perhaps the best open face burger in Shelby County. Service was quick and friendly, addressing me as "bud" rather than sir, which is welcoming.
Absolutely the best. Five stars are not nearly enough and excellent in all areas. It will quickly be your favorite place.
Fabulous food and an amazing staff. They make you feel like family every time you stop in. I crave their southern cooking, but all I can say is you had better save room for their desserts. Can you say yummmmm. Thank you guys for another amazing evening.

Everything I've ever had at Village Tavern has been excellent. The food is top notch (best friend catfish I've ever had), the service is outstanding, and the owner is an all around great guy. I highly recommend it!
Dessert was magnificent.
Nice place to eat in a college town. The building was an old firehouse. It can get a little noisy with a crowd of people. The food is fantastic, pricing not to bad. I would,definitely go back. Takes a really long time to get a table. The place is always full, and no one is in a hurry to leave even when they finished eating.
A downside, if any. Were the people seated directly behind me harassing the wait staff over a "proper" beer.
